Interview by Nick Gough, Tescodisco
People call my work pornographic or sexual too explicit but for me it documents the erotic-that when combined with the unexpected or unconventional is what makes erotic art.
I started with S&M documentaries with regional scenes in England, living the slave, master & mistress lifestyles.
Nowadays I have become more involved in integrating fashion and performing arts into my work rather than documentary.
Some of my work has been shown in clubs and galleries, but I prefer places that are part of the project rather than outside of it.
I am interested in all forms of representations of the body and excited by stories that suggest violence, pain, mayhem, the grotesque or absurd, pure beauty, the impossible, transformations and sex. Some of these elements can be found in my most recent work translating The Story of Jack the Ripper. Stories that are already in my head, depicting the strongest energies that are in us, Eros and Thanatos.
I love photographing the male or the female while showing their power, strength and freedom what they are or might be but have not seen before.
What finally frightens you and throws you into disorder is the knowledge that desire makes you its victim.
